The story
Alejandro P. Bulgheroni is an Argentine entrepreneur of Italian descent and a great wine enthusiast who, over the years, has invested heavily in Tuscany, first in Chianti Classico and then in Montalcino.
In 2016, he also invested in Bolgheri, with Tenuta Le Colonne and Tenuta Meraviglia. Tenuta Le Colonne is located in the lower part of the estate, which stretches from the foothills down to the sea, on predominantly sandy soils; Tenuta Meraviglia, on the other hand, is in the upper part, characterized by volcanic soils.
Vineyards by the Sea
With 61 hectares of vineyards characterized by sandy soils, Tenuta Le Colonne is one of the Bolgheri wineries closest to the sea. The estate practices farming that is not only certified organic but also follows a regenerative approach, with a special focus on soil vitality.
