A family’s love for Bolgheri
Cantine Arioldi was born out of a family’s deep connection to Tuscany and, in particular, to the prestigious Bolgheri region. The dream took concrete shape in 2020 with the acquisition of a vineyard along the famous Via Bolgherese in Castagneto Carducci.
Led by Daniele Arioldi and his family, together with winemaker Antonio De Masi, the winery combines local winemaking tradition with a drive for innovation to create wines that are recognizable for their style, quality, and distinct terroir.
The Patient Craft of the Vineyard
The vineyards stretch across terrain with two distinct topographies, partly flat and partly hilly. The soils range from the predominantly sandy compositions of the plain to the clay-limestone soils of the hilly areas. The vineyards feature a mix of older vines, about twenty years old, and new plantings established in recent years.
Alongside the classic Bolgheri grape varieties, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, and Vermentino, there are also varieties that are less traditional for the area but expertly cultivated, such as Sangiovese and Chardonnay. The winemaking process is based on manual care of the vineyard and the harvest, resulting in original and well-structured wines.
